Jalaan

Terms of Service

Effective 23 October 2026 · Applies to Jalaan at jalaan.tentspark.app

In short
  • Jalaan is free. It is a guide, not a guarantee: road signs, traffic laws and police instructions always come first.
  • Don't handle your phone while driving.
  • Reports and places you add must be true, your own, and not copied from other maps.
  • Things you contribute can be shared openly with everyone.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Jalaan ("we", "us") for using the Jalaan app and website (the "service"). By using Jalaan you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

2. Driving safely comes first

3. Information may be wrong or out of date

Maps come from OpenStreetMap, weather and warnings from MET Malaysia, rain radar from RainViewer, and traffic and hazard reports from other users. This information can be incomplete, delayed or wrong. Speed limits, speed camera locations, travel times, toll information, opening hours and weather are estimates. Always check important information yourself, for example before a long trip or during floods.

4. Your account

5. Your contributions

Contributions include hazard reports, votes, notes and, when available, community places and edits.

6. Things you must not do

If you break these terms, we may remove your contributions and suspend or close your account.

7. Open data and credits

Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the ODbL. Weather forecasts and warnings: MET Malaysia via data.gov.my. Rain radar: Rain Viewer. Map style and icons: Protomaps and Maki. These sources have their own terms. Jalaan's name and logo belong to us.

8. The service can change

Jalaan is free and provided as it is. We may add, change or remove features, limit use to keep the service fair, or pause or stop the service. We try to keep it running, but we don't promise it will always be available or error-free.

9. Liability

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for loss or damage from using or being unable to use Jalaan, including accidents, fines, delays, missed appointments, vehicle damage or decisions made from its information, or from other users' contributions. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have by law that cannot be excluded.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app about important changes. If you keep using Jalaan after a change, the new terms apply.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction.
